Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to work as part of a team to design, implement and support a range of hardware and software systems within the business. The role is responsible for managing multiple concurrent tasks and varying technologies in an exciting competitive environment, with exposure to a wide range of existing and emerging technologies. You will manage and support products, services, systems and support infrastructure controls via on premise, cloud or co-located/managed platforms. Additionally you will be responsible for technically supporting more junior technical support and service engineer as well as working under the direction of the technical architects.
The role integrates closing with our DevOps functions, focusing on automated and highly repeatable system and environment accelerated product development whilst maintaining high quality levels.
To be considered for this role you must be ITIL v2 or v3 trained and have MCP or equivalent. You will need to have extensive experience in a technical support and implementation role, with significant experience providing 3rd level support in a similar field. You will need to actively contribute and lead the implementation and support of solutions and systems and provide out of hours support as part of an on call support function. Excellent communication is required along with the ability to identify, isolate and resolve complex problems within the context of the project and operational deliverables.
